#Supplygate is happening. Pierre Rochard called out ETH community for not having a way to properly get ETH's supply. There is a backlash for this. Against a person investigating a supply number. Rather than giving procedure how to do, they are bashing him, including ETH founder Vitalik and many of his followers. This goes completely against the "don't trust, verify" narrative.

But in 2017, Vitalik said:

Hence, in the foreseeable future, the supply will not go far above 100 million.
