Bitfinex question about NYAG battle

Bitfinex in a legal battle with NYAG about turning over documents/data. As an American user, before they banned US citizens, do you think Bitfinex still has our data, or have already deleted long ago? I'm curious if they are forced to turn over all data, will it include our old stuff?

why bitfinex have to care about usa laws about anything, they dont allow usa customer and ifinex company: "headquartered in Hong Kong and registered in the British Virgin Islands"
somebody know this?
